Lisbon House Keeps Its 1950s Façade While Everything Behind It Changes
House in David Melgueiro is a 200 m2 house in Restelo, built in the 1950s as one of more than four hundred standard low-cost houses on the hillside west of Lisbon. Aurora Arquitectos demolished everything except the wall facing the street, and put a void running from the living area to the roof in the middle of what it built, so that daylight now reaches the ground floor from above.
